After graduating in Human Resources, he took his family back to Canada, where they lived for the next 22 years in Calgary, Alberta, until they returned to the United States in 1986.
His Church service in Canada included Stake Seventy, Bishop's Counselor, Stake High Councilman and 5 ½ years as Bishop. He served another 8 years on the High Council in Salt Lake, and served a 3-year mission with his wife as hosts at the Conference Center.
