Aaron Keith Finley was born September 5, 1972 in Killeen, Texas. Aaron was the first of seven children born to Kristie Lee Foster and David Greg Finley. Aaron graduated from Olathe South High School in Olathe, Kansas. Aaron attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho for one year prior to his Mission, and later graduated from Utah State University in Logan, Utah with his Bachelor's Degree. Aaron served a two-year full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Aaron served in the Los Angeles, California, and the Fortaleza and Recife Brazil missions.
The central focus of interest in Aaron's life from a very early age were the American Civil War and World War II periods. Aaron was a patriot and had a tremendous love and respect for the events and personalities of those time periods. He had vast knowledge of military history and the planes, ships, and weapons of those conflicts.
Aaron's other great loves were the National Parks of America and he was happiest when he was able to visit and spend time in those places. The unique vistas and animals of Yellowstone Park always held a special place in his heart.
Aaron was called to return to his Heavenly home in his sleep on Friday, November 9, 2012
Aaron is survived by his Mother and Father, and his six younger brothers and sisters; April Heather Staker (Joseph), Justin Jennings Finley (Lisa), Jordan Matthew Finley (Melanie), Kelsey Loren Finley (Laura), Hollie Nicole Hanson (James), and Kesia Leilani Daniel (Brooks). Additionally, Aaron will always hold a special place in the hearts of his eighteen nephews and nieces who know and love him.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 12noon at the LDS ward located at 10908 N 6400 W in Highland, UT. A viewing will be held on Wednsday, November 14, 2012 from 6-8 at the same location, and on Thursday from 10:45a.m. - 11:45a.m. as well.
