Adam Jay Cook, age 36, of Midvale Utah, passed away on the morning of February 16, 2024 peacefully in his sleep. His loss is completely unexpected, his family and girlfriend Stephanie is profoundly saddened. Adam was born on December 10, 1987 to Jay and Paula Cook. Adam had one sister Tiara, and gained a younger brother when she married Taylor. Within this small family there grew an immense amount of love.
In Adam's younger years you could find him on the baseball field or zooming around on his skateboards. As a family, camping and being outdoors became a staple activity in which Adam carried with him into his adult life. He had an itch for being in nature whether it be pitching a tent, four wheeling, hunting for elk, snowboarding, wake boarding or just taking a nap in a hammock. He loved trying new things that he tended to always be good at and working hard on his carpentry skills. Adam easily followed in his fathers footsteps becoming a carpenter and working for his dads company. He enjoyed using his woodworking skills to make beautiful tables and nightstands for those he loved.
Adam was a wonderful son, brother, boyfriend, friend and stranger. He had a huge heart and so much charisma that enabled him to become friends with anyone. Getting others to open up and be silly was his superpower. If you were able to talk with Adam for at least ten minutes, he made you smile, laugh and feel like you had a new friend. Adam lived with the philosophy that life needed more fun, playfulness, and lighthearted vibes within it.
