Aldwyth "Stevie" Stephens Foil

During the early morning hours of January 14, 2008 our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend passed away peacefully from this life surrounded by loved ones near and far.
Born June 17, 1928 in Provo, Utah to George Washington and Harriett Moiselle Stephens. She was raised in the shadow of Mt. Timpanogos and spent many childhood years wandering on "Y" mountain with her brother Oakley.
She was married to a handsome sailor, Charles Herman Foil on May 1, 1948 in Charleston, SC and was sealed for time and eternity in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on May 1, 2007. He preceded her in death on February 14, 2005.
As an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she had the opportunity to serve a welfare mission from October 1995 until April 1996. She was a humble person and it was her desire to serve in whatever way she was called despite her physical disabilities. We think she most loved to cook for her family and especially her ward members. With a love of this country and a desire to be politically active, many years were devoted to city and county government. We fondly remember as children passing out literature for our favorite candidate and attending mass meetings. She also enjoyed reading, travel and oil painting.
She is survived by Vickie (Brent) Wallace, Wendy (Rich) Burke, Charles H. 'Skip' Foil Jr., Elayne Carter, and Veldon (Brenda) Foil, 19 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren, and her sweet sisters, Wanda Alger, Provo and Jewell Colovich, Calif. Preceded in death by her grandson Veldon Gean, 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at the Battle Creek 2nd Ward, 1250 East 200 South, Pleasant Grove, Utah at 11:00 a.m. A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the same location prior to services. She will be interred at the Provo City Cemetery.
You are loved and will be missed. 'God bless your way'.
