Almetta Anna Olson

Anna Olson; age 63, of West Jordan, Utah died Monday, February 26, 2007 at her home. Anna was born June 21, 1943 at Oak Creek, Colorado, the daughter of James and Louis Doyle. She attended grade school in Oak Creek Colorado and then moved to Dragerton, Utah where she attended Junior High and High School. Following graduation from high school, she moved to Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Kent L. Olson in Salt Lake City, Utah. They later divorced. Anna worked at the Paris Department Store as a Clerk. She later worked in accounting for First Security Bank and Wells Fargo Bank. She loved to bowl and was a member of a bowling league which played on Wednesdays. She regularly bowled at the Ritz and Bonwood Bowling Alleys. Once when she was very sick she bowled a 190. Anna loved to travel, to play pool, go gambling in Wendover especially playing the nickel slots and going shoping. She loved her family, always puting them and others before herself. She was a strong witted woman who lived an honorable life and who made it through life on her own. She was a great cook who made full home cooked meals for her family every night of the week. She is survived by her son: Robert J. Olson of West Jordan, Utah. A granddaughter, Emily Olson and four brothers and sisters; Edwinna, Shirley, Jim and Harry. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Ida. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at Roberts home (2136 Happiness Drive, West Jordan, Utah) at 7 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to call Robert to get details or to let him know that they will be attending.
