Alonzo Franklin Madsen Jr. "Frank" passed away April 10, 2008 in Provo, Utah. He was born on March, 11, 1923 in Riverton, Utah to Alonzo Franklin and Leona Gertrude Ferrell Madsen.
Frank married Stella Florence Wakefield Madsen on April 16, 1947 in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. They had a rich and full life together and were blessed with four wonderful children.
Frank graduated from high school then went to Real Estate School and had Insurance and Computer Programming Schooling. He served four years in the United States Navy, serving in World War II and received a Presidential Citation award. He drove truck all over the US for the LDS church and other companies, receiving award connected to the trucking industry. He owned his own Ornamental Iron Business in Utah and Arizona.
Frank enjoyed teaching and taught Seminary and Gospel Doctrine for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved fishing, camping, waterskiing, working with the youth, reading and studying but spending time with his family was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife, three sons, Stephen F., Robert L. and Darren L. Madsen, one daughter, Corinne Fraughton, sisters, Arva, Ferrell, Janice and Venice and a brother Laurel, 13 Grand Children and 17 Great Grand Children
A viewing will be held at the Eagle Mountain 6th Ward, 1934 E. Cedar Trails Way City Center at 6-8 pm, Monday 14, 2008. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at 1:00pm at the Riverton City Cemetery. Thanks to all those who have helped the family and to those attending the services.
