Anita Orciari

Anita Orciari passed away peacefully on November 27, 2010 at the Life Care Center in Bountiful, Utah at age 94. She was a wonderful example to all who knew her of enduring faith and loving service and will be missed by her family and friends.
Anita was born May 19, 1916 in Lucca, Italy to Irene Dal Colletto and Giovanni Lucchesi. She met and married Primo Orciari on July 23, 1938 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after both families had immigrated to Argentina from Italy to escape fascism. They were later sealed in the Oakland, California temple in 1974 after immigrating to the United States. Anita and her husband were active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served for many years in the Provo, Utah temple as well as serving two full-time missions together, one of which was to their native country of Italy. She served in numerous callings in the wards and branches she attended throughout her life. She was baptized in 1942 at age 26 into the first organized branch in Argentina, which was located in Buenos Aires. She was truly a pioneer in so many ways, leaving a legacy of faith and love of the Gospel for her posterity to cherish. She never let an opportunity pass by to help or cheer up someone in need, often when they faced fewer challenges than did she.
She was the last living member of her generation and is survived by her son, Sergio Orciari, and her daughter, Irene Law, and their families.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 2, at 12:30 p.m. at the Kaysville rock chapel at the corner of 200 East and Center Street. A viewing will be held at the rock chapel at 11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Provo, Utah cemetery.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of the Bountiful Life Care Center and VistaCare Hospice for their loving care and attention.
