Ann Burton Buzzell was born 23 Aug. 1914 in Afton, Wyo. to Wilford Fielding Burton and Ivie Irene Rainey. She departed this life 24 Nov. 2008 at the age of 94 years, surrounded by her family.
She graduated from Star Valley High School. After 18 years of farm life in Etna, Wyo., she went to Los Angeles, Calif. to attend Los Angeles Beauty College. Ann took the State Board then worked at Bon Mode Beauty Shop until Aug. 1937. She lived with her Uncle Ralph and Aunt Vie. There she met Vie's brother, Howard Buzzell, and they were married 7 Aug. 1937. Four children blessed their home: Dale, Jeanne, John, and Allen.
Ann worked for many years in the electronics industry, winding resistors, coils, armatures and solenoids, to support her children as a single mother. It was very boring and tedious, but she endured.
She moved to Orem, Utah in 1975 to be near her daughter Jeanne since none of her children were returning to So. Calif.
Ann enjoyed gardening, needlework, sewing, reading, cooking, canning, crafts, D.U.P., L.D.S. church service, and her many friends. She was an inspiration to many and was full of knowledge and insight.
Ann is survived by her children, Dale (Linda), Jeanne (Brad), 11 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren (plus twin girls expected in Feb.) and brother, Lynn. She was preceded in death by Howard, her sons John and Allen, granddaughter Shelley Ann, sister Wilma, and brothers Keith and Dee.
