Anne Mary Holub, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday August 28, 2010 at Mountain Ridge Assisted Living in Ogden, Utah surrounded by loving family members.
Born Anne Mary Jablonsky in Czechoslovakia (now the Czech Republic) on February 21, 1920 she immigrated to America at the age of 3 with her parents Joseph and Anna Jablonsky. After living in the Chicago suburbs and North Miami, Florida she was a long time resident of New Buffalo, Michigan and more recently of White Lake, Michigan and Ogden, Utah.
Anne is preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Frank Lawrence Holub and her brother Joseph Jablonsky.
Surviving family members include 2 sons Frank and Richard Holub and their wives Linda and Carla, 6 grandchildren: Franklin Holub and his wife Lynn, Michelle VandenHombergh and her husband Bob, Rich, Sam, Corine and Heather Holub, 3 great grandsons: Max, Chase and Dylan and 3 step-grandsons: Aaron, Scott and Kenny.
Anne's favorite activities were cooking her wonderful Czech dishes, baking, talking, laughing, reading, taking care of her beloved family and visiting with her friends. She also liked to sew and garden. She will be remembered for her loving and cheerful personality, the care and concern she showed to everyone, her spunky, independent spirit and her strong mindedness. She often commented that it was a wasted day if you didn't learn something new. When anyone had a problem they always felt better after talking with Anne. She will be greatly missed.
There will be no funeral service at this time. A private interment of her ashes will be in New Buffalo, Michigan at a later date.
