Armond Lee Hawley

Armond Lee Hawley, 77, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 3rd, 2008, in his home in Salt Lake City, Utah. He returned to his Father in Heaven, and to his beloved wife, Betty Ann Bean Hawley.
Armond was born in Los Angeles California on April 10th, 1931. He was one of two children of Armond Vard Hawley and Leola Ellen Shiner Hawley. He spent most of his childhood in Provo, Utah, and attended college at the Brigham Young Academy, in Provo. He served in the U.S. Great Lakes Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married and was sealed to Betty Ann Bean on November 24th, 1952, in the Cardston, Alberta, Canada Temple. Armond loved the Gospel and serving in the Lords kingdom on earth. He and Betty raised a family of four children.
He is survived by all of his children and one daughter-in-law: Suzanne Hawley Nelson of Laramie, Wyoming, Annalee Hawley of Powell, Wyoming, Paul and Linda Hawley of Bellingham, Washington, and Mark Hawley of Salt Lake City, Utah. Armond is also survived by his only sister, Lee Hawley Anderson, and her husband, David Anderson, of Redding, California. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. His parents preceded him in death.
Services will be held in the Salt Lake Big Cottonwood Stake Center, 1750 East Spring Lane in Salt Lake City on Saturday, November 15 at 11:00 am. A viewing for family and friends will be held in the Salt Lake Big Cottonwood Stake center Relief Society room from 10:00 to 10:45 am on Saturday, October 15 prior to the funeral. Interment will be at the Elysian Burial Gardens, at 1075 East, 4580 South, Salt Lake City, UT.
