Our beloved mother and grandma, Arnelle Lilia Burbank, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2009 at her home in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 77. Arnelle was born November 28m 1931 in West Helena, Arkansas to Cary Ragsdale and Edith Lindsey was the fourth of five children. At the age of 19, she joined the United States Army and served honorably until her discharge 3 years later. It was during this time shat she met and married our father Robert Keith Burbank who also was enlisted in the U.S. Army. They together gave birth to four children, she moved to Salt Lake City where she remained for the past 31 years. During that time, Mom was employed at Sun Photo her first two years and then for the next 18 years she worked for Little America Hotel in their gift shop. After that, she went to work for Albertsons grocery store in their floral department for the next 6 years. Since then, due to health problems, she had not worked the past 4 or 5 years. Our mother was a good honest woman who was never afraid to say what was on her mind, who worked hard, was dedicated and loyal and to our knowledge was never late anywhere she went in her life, but most of all, she was a "GREAT" mother and grandmother and we love her very much and we miss her! She is survived by her four children, Mike, Connie, Nancey and Phillip, 13 grandkids, 10 step-grandkids, 6 great-grandkids and 3 step-great-grandkids. Our family would like to thank Dr. Towner and his fantastic nurse Sue for their going "above and beyond the call of duty" for Mom the past 20 years, also a thank you to her friend Pat from Albertsons for seeing her through some tough times. And finally, we would like to express our deep appreciation to Mom's friends and neighbors at Geneva Village Apartments where she has lived the past 24 years... thank you Candy for always having Mom's back and thank you Mandy, Abby and Rebecca and your families for always being there for Mom. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2009 at the Utah Veterans Cemetery, 17111 Camp Williams Rd., Riverton, UT.
