Barry Dean Staber passed away August 17, 2011 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 31, 1931 to Henry August and Hilda Helen Schmidt Staber.
He married Vernice Jensen on November 7, 1959 and later divorced. He attended East High and Salt Lake City Community College. He served in the United States Marine Corps and served in Korea as a sergeant. He retired after 33 years of working at Kennecott as a millwright. His hobbies were shooting, cars, history, wine and photography.
He is survived by sons Blaine Staber, Brent Staber (Laurette), daughter Diane Staber Ault (Mark), stepson Reed Christensen and stepdaughter Debbie Christensen Brown. He is also survived by grandchildren Cody Ault, Chad Ault (Jaycee), Brock Staber (Chrystal), Cali Ault Watkins (Wade), Brandi Ault Draper (Dustin), and his great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Utah Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 17111 South Camp Williams Road, Bluffdale, Utah on Thursday, August 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m.
The family would like to give special thanks to Spring Creek Care Center and Hearts for Hospice.
