Betty Colleen Elkinton

Our beloved "Grandma Betty" peacefully passed away in her daughter's home on March 11, 2007. A loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Betty touched the lives of all around her.
She was born May 15th, 1926 in pine grove, Oregon and later moved to Dalles. Betty loved the Dalles and lived most of her sweet life there until her diabetes required a change of pace. Her daughter, Linda, graciously accepted Betty into the Zimmer home in Bountiful, Utah where she was able to be happy and healthily fulfill the rest of her days.
She helped Linda with her in-home daycare and all the children loved to play with "Nanma". She had a special gift with children and they all loved her very much. Grandma Betty will always be remembered for her humor, wit, and unending love. She enjoyed traveling, photography, and somehow always remembered to send birthday cards to countless loved ones. We love and miss you, Grandma.
Betty is survived by her siblings; Preston (Arlene) Williams, Louise (Vern) Neitch, and Frances (Don) Brostrom. Her seven children; Linday (Ray) Zimmer, James, Chuck (Gloria), Steven, Robert (Karin), John (Mun), and Gary (Linda) Elkinton; 20 grandchildren, and23 great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her loving parents Asa Samuel Williams ans Zoe Ellen Scobee Williams, and is surely encircled in their love now.
A viewing will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Pine Grove Community Church, Pine grove, Oregon. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm. Internment Pine Grove Cemetery.
