Betty Hollingshead

Our beloved mother, little grandmother, sister, and friend, Betty Hollingshead, 83, passed away on November 5, 2008 at home with her family at her side. She was born in Green River, Wyoming on March 31, 1925 to Melba and Archibald Anderson. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Green River. She worked for Abbott Medical Supply for 15 years.
Betty married Stanley James Hollingshead on September 8, 1945. They had two sons, Kenneth J. and Howard J. Betty was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also enjoyed going to mountain man rendezvous and loved dressing up in her beautiful white leather dress. Most of all, Betty loved her family and friends beyond measure.
Betty is survived by son: Ken Hollingshead (Deb); grandchildren: Jodi Frkovich (Tony), Brett Hollingshead (Katie), Brandon Miller (Tracy), Codi Hollingshead, Jori Sanchez (Christian), Jarid Hollingshead, Marcus Pope, and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters: Maisel Baker (Fred) and Kay Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley and son Howard J. Hollinghead.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Draper 7th Ward Chapel, 600 E. 12300 S. Friends may visit the family one hour before the time of services. Burial will be at Redwood Memorial Estates. The family would like to give special thanks to her hospice nurse Frankie and aide T.C. and the Draper 7th Ward.
