Beverly Elaine Dalrymple

Beverly Elaine Johnson Dalrymple passed away Monday, September 19, 2011 due to circumstances related to strokes that she suffered over the past few months. She passed quietly in her home.
Beverly was born May 1, 1931 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Henry and Lucy May Broadbent Johnson (both deceased). She had an older brother, Glen Henry Johnson and an older sister, Marjorie Patrecia (Patsy) Clayton (both deceased).
Beverly married Richard M. Dalrymple on May 22, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple. She had four children, Susan, Warren, Debra Brimhall (Randy) and Bart. She had six grandchildren, Dylan and Morgan ( Warren's kids), Adam (deceased) and Amber (Deb's kids), and Spencer and Lacey (Bart's kids). She also had three great-grandchildren, Braydon, Anastasia, and Alexander, and a little girl due in October (Amber's kids).
"Grandma" loved her family and sacrificed everything for them. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many callings, most musical. She attended Granite High School and the University of Utah. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper, typist, office manager, anything "office" related.
She studied music from a very young age. She attended the McCuen music school where she learned everything from organ to voice to conducting. She studied organ with the Tabernacle organist at the time. Her violin teacher was Melba Lindsay Burton, one of the best in the State.
Music was very important and dear to Grandma's heart. She learned to play the violin, piano, and organ, and she was very good at all three. She had the most beautiful singing voice as well. She loved to play her violin, and when she couldn't anymore due to arthritis, she was devastated.
Grandma will be dearly missed.
There will be a viewing at the Winder 6th Ward (4366 South 1500 East, Salt Lake City, UT) on Tuesday, September 20, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and a graveside service at Mt. Olivet Cemetery (1342 East 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT) on Wednesday, September 21, 2011 at Noon.
