Bjarne Steinar Bo passed away peacefully in the arms of his loving wife on Tuesday, October 9. He was born September 25, 1935 in Oslo, Norway to Martin and Anna Bo. He married his wife, Reidun, on March 21, 1953. He was a soldier in the Norwegian King's Guard. They had three children in Norway before they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah in 1961 after joining the LDS church. They went on to have five more children, four boys and four girls in all. Bjarne was a hard worker with a strong work ethic. He began working in construction and eventually owned his own business as a general contractor. He and his wife served a building mission in Norway, Sweden and Finland. He loved soccer his entire life and loved the bowling excursions at Brightwork Cottage. He had a great passion for eating and he loved to sing and dance. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings; and by his grandsons Jason and Brandon. He is survived by his wife, Reidun; his children John (Linda), Tom (Marisa), Ann Christin, Andrew (Joelle), Michael (RaChelle), Michelle, Jennifer (Matt) and Tanya (Tim); 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grand-children. We would like to thank Brightwork Cottage and A Step Forward hospice, especially Erica and Lisa, for their loving care. Graveside services will be held at Salt Lake City Cemetery at 11:00am on Friday, October 12.
