Bruce Carl Davison went home to be with the Lord on September 3, 2010. Bruce was born in Casitas Springs, California, July 27, 1937, to Charles Davison and Florence A. Hardeman. One of four children, Bruce is survived by brothers A. Richard Davison, Ventura; Bob Davison, Ojai; and sister, Linda Park, Santa Rosa, California; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He attended Ventura High School ('55) and Ventura College where he received an AA Degree in Chemical Engineering. Bruce ran track in school. He also attended UCLA and USC in Los Angeles. Licensed as a realtor and security and exchange agent, Bruce was also a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters.
Bruce served as an aircraft mechanic in the Airforce Reserves from 1960-1966.
Married on December 16, 1967 in Long Beach, California to Sandra S. Smiley (Riverside), they enjoyed a marriage of 42 years having one son, Michael J. Davison (Tammy Johnson, wife), two granddaughters, Marissa L. Davison (3 ½), and Desiree S. Davison (15 mos.).
Bruce began a career selling insurance. He was a prolific reader and loved to discuss politics. He loved playing chess and participated in several events before he acquired Narcolepsy in 1983. He loved people and delighted in his part-time job serving as a host at Marie Callenders during his retired years. He participated in drama at his church (Ventura Baptist Church). Other interests were golf, wood carving and statistics.
After fighting a battle with lung cancer, Bruce and Sandy moved to Eagle Mountain, Utah to be with family.
