Carole J Heschel

Carole J. (nee Deppensmith) Heschel, 84, formerly of Oak Harbor and Fremont, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 at PeachTree Assisted Living in Roy, Utah. Carole was born on July 18, 1922 in Oak Harbor, OH to Ferdinand F. and Louise Ries Deppensmith. She married Jerald H. Heschel, on March 21, 1946. Prior to moving to Utah Carole resided at Elmwood Assisted Living in Fremont. Carol grew up in Oak Harbor, graduated class of 1940 from Oak Harbor High School and in 1944 completed the Cadet Corps Nursing Program during WW II at Providence Hospital in Sandusky. She is survived by two sons and a daughter: Michael S. Heschel (Judith) of Austin, TX, Louise K. Charles (Richard) of Folsom, CA, and Jerald (Morgan) Heschel of West Haven, UT; a daughter-in-law, Carol Heschel of Whitesboro, NY; a brother, Roger Deppensmith of Huntsville, AL; two sisters, Dorothy Thurston of West Palm Beach, FL, and Marguerite Poorman of Naples, FL; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Daniel M. Heschel, sister Mary Alice Sutter, and brother Lloyd Deppensmith. Funeral Services will be held in Fremont, Ohio on June 26, 2007.
