Chance is survived by many friends and family: Parents, Franklin and Dianne Hoffmann, Siblings, Cologne Fleming, Case Hoffmann, Chi Hoffmann, Charney Hoffmann. Two daughters Allysa and Bre'Auna, Three sons: Cameron (7), Cruise 5, Calix 3, wife, Tina Marie Moore Hoffmann, over 100 Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and in-laws.
Greeting Chance on the other side are his grandparents Doyle & Fay Sorenson and Charles Hoffmann & Asuncion Nieves, His nephew Canyon Augustus Kyle Fleming and five Uncles.
Chance went through chef school because he loved to cook and loved to share it with anyone who would join him. We often turned his invitation down but he didn't hold a grudge and never stopped inviting. If were too tired go to his house. He brought the food to us.
Chance was so thankful for everything. He didn't think anyone should be depressed and when people complained, he didn't let them get away with it. Other people have it so much worse. He loved to dumpster dive. When he was homeless, he was so happy to find something to eat in the garbage. He found so much treasure. He saw good in everything.
Chance loved his parents and siblings immensely but it was Cameron, Cruise, and Calix that his heart yearned for. They were his passion. He wished his two girls, Allysa and Bre'Auna could join his boys and live with him also. He said he would always love his wife Tina even though they couldn't be together. The last year Teresa came into his life because she filled his need for love and service. She thought he was perfect. Chance's heart was perfect. Some people didn't know that.
He never kept a grudge for any one. When people talked negatively about others, he joined in to be supportive but seldom felt that way and made it known when that person was not around.
Chance called us every night to make sure we were O.K. He and his Dad had a constant interaction with each other. Chance wanted to learn everything his Dad knew so that they could be close. And they were.
Chance didn't even know what a wonderful soul he had.
I am so grateful for the knowledge that God knows each one of us. The blessing Chance receive by the hands of his Uncle Antone Sorenson before he died re-enforced that knowledge. God knows Chance. He loves Chance. He knows his heart.
He is free of his body that was no longer able to assist him in doing the great things he wanted to do. He is able now to do those great things. He is with family. We will see him again. I testify of this in the name of Jesus Christ who is our Savior Amen.
By his mother, Dianne Hoffmann
