Charles Barry Allen
Charles Barry Allen (54) passed away peacefully from complicatons from Guillian Barre and a massive heart attack to return to his Heavenly Father on Friday, February 17, 2012. Barry was born July 5, 1957 to Bill and Essie Allen. He was the 9th child in a family of 13 children.
Barry was a sweet boy and loved to visit with the older ladies at church. Barry struggled much of his life. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia in his teens and battled this mental illness throughout his life. We may never know the pain Barry suffered because of his mental illness but he did the best he could with what he had been given.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Granger 6th Ward at 3274 South Hillsdale Drive, West Valley City, Utah 84119. No viewing will be held.
Barry is survived by his mother Essie R. Allen, brothers Bruce, Shawn (CJ), Richard (Lydia), Pete (Sher), Brett and sisters Carol (Steve) Fisher, Connie Brewer, Liz (Mike) Raleigh and Robbie Kirk.
He is preceded in death by his father William C. Allen, Brothers Michael and Phillip and sister Jennifer Andrews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Valley Mental Health that helped Barry manage his mental illness.
