St. George, UT - Chella Osborne Jenks, 72, passed away April 7, 2012, in St. George, UT. She was born December 17, 1939, in Ashland, KY, to Fred Leland and Sarah Asenath Scott Osborne. She married Charles Rogers December 28, 1957, they were later divorced. She later married Wallace Jenks June 24, 2009.
Chella earned her bachelor's degree in nursing from Marshall University and later received her master's degree. She worked as a school nurse for the Washington County School District. She loved to sing with the Heritage choir, she enjoyed traveling, religious studies and especially loved being with her family.
She is survived by: her children, Charles Leland (Juliana) Rogers, Gregory (Iara) Scott Rogers, Stephen Hunter (Molly) Rogers, Fred Osborne (Melissa) Rogers, Julia Chella Rogers, Ronald LeGrand (Terreal) Rogers, Sarah Asenath Rogers; and 24 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April, 14, 2012, at 11:00a.m. at the Bloomington Hills Stake Center, 1130 E. Bloomington Rd., St. George, UT. A visitation will take place Friday evening, April 13, 2012, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at SereniCare Funeral Home 1316 S. 400 E. Ste. A#3, St. George, UT, and again prior to the service on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30, at the Bloomington Hills Stake Center. Interment will follow the services at the Tonaquint Cemetery.
