Chris William Larson

Chris William Larson, 46, of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 13, 2012. Chris was born in Salt Lake City on July 22, 1966 to Jerald Larson and Wilma Shoemaker. He lived the majority of his life in Utah but had the pleasure of living in Minnesota, North Carolina, and Washington. Chris loved the outdoors and would fish anywhere he thought he might be able to catch a few. Chris was an incredible bowler whose passion could be seen in the way he spun his ball. Chris loved being a waiter; he enjoyed hearing stories from around the world. The regular customers couldn't wait to see what kind of drink they might get. Each one had a name such as Papa Chuck and Mama Chuck. No one could figure out how a mixture of different ones could taste so good. Chris is survived by his loving and caring companion of several years Laura Steffey daughter Amber Southard, son Austin Larson, his grandsons Holdyn, Dylan, and Lloyd, father Jerald Larson, mother Wilma Anwiler, sister Kim (Rick) Galloway, brothers Jeff (Angela) Larson, Bryan (Allison) Rock, Matt (Kathy) Larson, Brandon Anwiler. and Daniel (Lauri) Heffington, Nieces & Nephews: Chantee, JD, Amanda, Aireanna, Victoria, Jason, Trent, Jesse, Alexa, Jaren, Devin, Kristin, Katie, Ethan, Eternity, Tammy, and greats: Sophia, Ben and Destiny, along with numerous extended family and friends. Chris is preceded in death by Mom Judy Larson, Step-Father Robert Anwiler, grandparents Doc and Cleo Larson, great grandparents, Aunt Glenola and Uncle Dick. The family has honored Chris's wishes and held a private service. A celebration of life will follow on his birthday in July. A special memorial gathering of co-workers will be held on Friday October 19th at 3:00 at the South Salt Lake IHOP. Arrangements and direction are under the care of Serenicare.
