Cindy Bey was born Cynthia Alice Campbell in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.. She was raised (and spoiled) by a loving mother, Anna Campbell and her doting siblings, Dolly, Bill, George and Lawrence. She lived most of her life after the age 18, in Utah, First Ogden and then Salt Lake City. (with a brief respite in Orange County California.) Her Life's Goal was to be Compassionate and helpful and to foster tolerance and peace in the world. She used her communicative skills by working as an assertiveness trainer, job counselor, and for 14 years with Xerox corp. as a receptionist and customer business rep. She enjoyed sharing African American history and the African American experience with local schools and community organizations using song, poetry and African folk tales. She loved the family who raised her and the family she raised, her boys: Jason and Chris, and her grandchildren Will and Kiandra. She also loved her friends, the Buddhist philosophy music, dance, sunshine and new snow, children's laughter, elephants, butterflies, hummingbirds, and Life. She'll miss all of you... A celebration of her life will be held, 7:00 pm Wednesday Aug 25th at the SGI Buddhist Community Center, 231 e 400 s Salt Lake City ,suite 200.
