Clifton Robinson Dixon

Clifton Robinson Dixon died May 15, 2008, at age 90 in Heber City Utah. He was born October 16th 1917 in Manard, Idaho. He is the oldest son of Riley Lyman Dixon and Alva Retta Robinson.
He served 2 years as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the California Mission. He graduated from Utah State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Husbandry. He married Thelda Thompson from Georgetown Idaho, June 12, 1944, in the Salt Lake Utah LDS Temple. As an active member of the Church, Clifton served in numerous service and leadership positions. He and his wife Thelda served as senior missionaries in the Washington D.C. North Mission, 1993 - 1994. His occupations included high school teacher and coach at Alamo Nevada and Salmon Idaho, farming, chemical fertilizer sales and service, bee keeping and custom meat processing, at Gooding Idaho.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Beth Cheney and a daughter, Janice Dixon. He is survived by his wife, Thelda Thompson, now living in Heber City Utah, five married children, Dee (Cathie Hendrix) Dixon, Wilma (John) Cowley, Reese (Connie Jones) Dixon, Marvalee (Steve) Edwards and Joel (Amy Durant) Dixon, and 22 grand children, 37 great grandchildren plus one great great grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Dwight Dixon and sisters, Lois Bird, Dot Dahn and Del Ora Johnson.
Funeral services, arranged by SereniCare, will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel, 114 S. 400 W. Orem, UT 84058, at 1:00 PM May 24th. Viewings will be held at the same location, Friday May 23rd from 6:00 PM - 8:00PM, and Saturday, May 24th at 12: Noon. Clifton will be buried in Gooding Idaho, Tuesday, May 27th. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM.
