Connie L Davis

Connie Neel Davis of Ivins, UT - Our loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2011, at her home surrounded by her children after a valiant year long battle with cancer. She was born August 1, 1946 to Otto and LaVern Neel in Springville Utah where she was raised.
She married her sweetheart Gary L Davis March 18, 1966, in Spanish Fork, UT, at the Old "Ideal dinning room". Their union was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. Together they had 4 children and resided happily in Orem, Utah until Gary's untimely passing, Connie later moved to St. George where she lived the last 12 years. She was a talented hair Stylist for over 40 years, but most recently worked with JC Penny styling salon.
Connie enjoyed the outdoors, arts and crafts, going on picnics, and Gardening, and most of all she loved spending time with her family. We know she is having a joyous reunion with her sweetheart Gary and beloved son Derek.
She is survived by: daughters, Jeni (Keith) Walker, Brooke Davis; Son Tyler (Linsey) Davis; 9 grandchildren Nick (Stephanie) Walker, Nate Walker, Torie Walker, Alyssa Walker, Kaylob Davis, Bree Davis, Skyler Davis, Emery (Davis) Long, Aisley Davis. With one more on the way; 3 Great-grandchildren, Peyton Walker, Ryann Walker and Treyson (Walker) Christensen; Her mother LaVern Lombardi; a sister Terry (Clifford) Alleman, and brother Raymond (Janet) Neel. She was preceded in death by her husband Gary, son Derek and father Otto.
We would like to give special thanks to Intermountain Hospice, doctors and caregivers of St. George for the care they gave mom. And as mom would say "I mean It!"
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., at the Salem City Community Center, 151 W. 300 S., Salem UT. A visitation will be held prior to services form 9:00 - 10:30 a.m.. Interment will follow services at the Salem City Cemetery.
A celebration of Connie's life will be held in Ivins, UT, at a later date, contact family members for more info.
