Cornelia "Connie" Moody, 93 of Mesquite, Nevada passed away March 3, 2011 in Mesquite. Connie was born November 14, 1918 in Sutherland, Utah, the daughter of Reuben Lorenzo Turner and Cornelia Sanford Turner. She attended schools in Delta, Utah and graduated from Delta High School. On May 24, 1938, she married Floyd Richmond Moody in the Salt LDS Temple. Together they raised a family of seven children Connie loved to go shopping, crocheting afghans, and watching Utah Jazz games. To her family and friends she was known as the #1 Jazz fan. Even at the Highland Manor in Mesquite she would keep tabs on the Jazz games, making sure that everyone was informed of her team. We share our appreciation to the Highland Manor of Mesquite for their care and friendship to our mom. Connie is survived by her children, Lamar (June) Moody, Janice Whicker, Jerry (Joyce) Moody, Max (Pamela) Moody, and (Cindy Pace & John Ryder), three sisters; Evelyn Snow, Nellie Stanworth and Helen Starley. Thirteen grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. Connie is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two children;, Marge Scheaffer and Jay Moody a grandson; Dean Whicker, and seven brothers and sisters..
A viewing will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Parley 5th Ward (2615 East Stringham Ave. 2287 South) from 11:00 AM to Noon followed by a Private Services. Burial will be in the Elysian Memorial Gardens.
