Darrel James Shoemake; of Ogden, Utah died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at his home in Ogden. Darrel was born November 16, 1935 in Frank Clay, MO, the son of Gilbert Theodore and Edna Mapel White Shoemake. He attended High School in Lynnwood, California and later in Missouri. He has worked as a Sheriff and a Judge in Missouri, as an airplane mechanic in Texas and on oil rigs all across the United States. His greatest endeavor was drilling for precious metals. One of his favorite hobbies was painting. Darrel is survived by his wife Lois Jean Williams Shoemake who he married December 12, 2000 in Bonita, California. His son Dana (Kathy) ) Kissee, a step-daughter, Dawn (Will) Angler and a step-son Jeff (Shari) Kissee. He has eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ogden, Utah LDS 8th Ward Chapel (1100 N. Monroe). The family will meet with friends at the church prior to services from 12 noon to 12:45 p.m. Burial will be in the Lindon City Cemetery on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Condolences to the family can be made at serenicare.com.
