David Lloyd Bach, 50, of Sandy, Utah passed away peacefully at Huntsman Cancer Hospital on Monday, April 16th 2012 at 11:41pm He was born May 1st 1961 in Minneapolis, MN to Lloyd David Bach and Mary Ann Hanssen. Married in Las Vegas on July 24, 2010 he is survived by his wife, Beverly Bach; father, Lloyd David Bach & wife Bev; daughters, Stephanie Bach & family, Lauren Bach & grandson, Everson Bach, Miranda Campbell & grandbaby, Nathan. He is also survived by his sisters Vikki Boehner and family, Cynthia Bach and family, and Kimberley Wetteland and family.
Dave was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-small cell lung cancer in April 2011. He fought a good battle, and wanted to contribute to the studies and research in fighting this terrible disease. Special thanks to Huntsman Cancer Hospital for ALL of their encouragement and support, and especially for helping make Dave feel as comfortable as possible. Dave LOVED the ocean. He enjoyed fishing, boating, music, woodworking, cooking and model tanks. He also loved playing cards. Dave was captain of his high school swim team at Park Center High School and led them to the state championship. He graduated from University of Minn. and also studied at Dale Carnegie Institute. For 25 years Dave specialized in commercial insulation, and fireproofing constructions. His contributions were in Las Vegas, but mainly numerous buildings in the Minneapolis area including the Carlson Towers in Minnetonka. He always said "I would never build a building that wasn't the safest as it could be for my own children". His ashes were scattered in the Gulf of Mexico off the Galveston coast on Wednesday, April 25th at 7:40pm local time.
