David Matthew Parker passed away from a cerebral hemorrhage on August 20, 2013 in Raleigh, North Carolina. He was born the youngest child of Don Timothy Parker and Colleen Lewis Parker on September 30, 1965 in Bountiful, Utah.
David was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Vickie, his two children, Joshua and Amy, three brothers, Timothy, John, and Andrew, four sisters, Nathalie Ellingson, Liz Brooks, Valerie Price, and Priscilla Steed, and many nieces and nephews.
David grew up in Bountiful, Utah, graduating from Bountiful High School in 1983. He served an LDS mission in Paris, France from 1984-1986. He attended Utah State University, majoring in Graphic Design and French, and graduated in 1989. While at Utah State, David met Vickie, and they were married November 4, 1988 in the Salt Lake Temple.
David and Vickie spent most of their married life in Garner, North Carolina. David worked for ten years at Glaxo Smith-Kline as a graphic designer, and was active in the arts community in Raleigh.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Woodland Hills Ward Chapel, 640 South 750 East, Bountiful, Utah. A viewing will be held Friday evening, August 30, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the home where David grew up, 716 South 800 East, Bountiful, Utah.
