Denise Marie Taft

Denise Marie Taft, age 57, passed away in the company of her loved ones on January 31, 2010 after a well-fought battle with cancer. Her leaving has created a void that can only be filled by sharing her love with one another. In practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker for over 25 years, Denise provided direct help and support to many people. She loved music and used this gift as a therapeutic endeavor to promote the healing process. In addition to being a hard worker, Denise loved to play. Hiking, biking, golf, scuba diving, traveling, and being with friends were her favorite recreational and leisure activities. Denise is preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her brothers Dennis, Gary, Thomas, and sister Sherry Law. A special note of gratitude to her aunt Colleen and loving friend Lisa for their committed help and self-sacrifice during her illness. A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held for Denise at 1:00 pm on March 6, 2010 at the Episcopal Church Center of Utah, 75 South 200 East in Salt Lake City. In lieu of flowers, Denise requested that contributions be used for humanitarian efforts.
