Dennis Pete Korpela

Dennis passed away February 24, 2023 in Tooele, Utah.  He was born on Christmas Day 1956 to Elmer  and Jane Korpela in Salt Lake City, Utah  He married Velma Johnson in Salt Lake City.  He worked in commerical construction.  

Dennis loved working on cars, playing pool and listening to music.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  

He is survived by his sons; Justin (Bethany) Korpela and Travis Korpela.  He is also survived by his sister, Gloria (Howard) VanWoerkom; and a brother, Jay Korpela along with his nieces and nephews.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Velma; brothers, Larry Korpela and Ricky Lynn Korpela and his sisters, Charlotte Korpela and Marilyn Bruhl.  

There will be a graveside service for Dennis on Monday, March 6, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 275 U Street, Salt Lake City, Utah 84103.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Salt Lake Regional Medical Center.
