Derek T. Schow

On July 26, 2008, Derek Timothy Schow returned to the loving arms of his Savior. He was born on January 25, 1982 in Murray, Utah to Duane R. "Jack" Schow and Liv J. Schow. Derek was a graduate of Alta High School. In his youth he displayed early talents in singing and writing. He loved playing football, and anything with four wheels and an engine. He enjoyed heading to NASCAR events in Las Vegas with friends, and competing in car races at local venues. He was deeply loyal to all those who were close to him. He was quick to smile and loved to joke and have a good time. He will be missed dearly.
Derek is survived by his parents, his siblings Jan-Erik (Jennifer) Schow, Einar (Julie) Schow, Lyle (Stephanie) Schow, Mark (Saunya) Schow, David (Rebecca) Schow, Lynnette (Rod) Savage, Geir (Alece) Schow, and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his sister-in-law Brenda, who we know have received him with open and loving arms.
Funeral services will be held Mon., August 4, 2008 at 11:00am at the LDS chapel at 11570 S Wasatch Blvd (3600 E), Sandy. A reception will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment at the Alpine City Cemetery.
