Diane Gladys Taylor; 53, of West Jordan, Utah died Friday, April 11, 2008 after a courageous fight with her illness. Diane was born May 5, 1954 in Mount Clemens, Michigan. She attended Springfield Township High School in Erdenheim, Pennsylvania. She later earned an Associates Degree in computer programming from ITT Technical Institute. On February 18, 1980 she married Jerry Dallin Taylor in Orem, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. To their marriage they had four daughters. Tammy (Jonathan) Clark, Stephanie Taylor, Pamela Taylor and Becky Taylor. She has two grandchildren, Sara LaFleure, Jaxson Clark and a step-granddaughter LaShay Crandall. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, a brother and sister; Valarie (Mark) Kania and Jim (Tracy) Ronkainen and her mother and step father, Marie and David Matthews and grandmother, Elinor King. She also has three step children, Rodger Taylor, Gerald Taylor and Lonny Taylor. She was preceded in death by her brother Ed Ronkainen, a step daughter, Cindy Taylor and grandfather, Robert King. Diane was a homemaker at heart, but had also worked at the Central District in Spanish Fork and e-Bay. She was a selfless mother whose greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She always put them first, and will be greatly missed. Diane had a hand for crocheting and had made many afghans for her children. She enjoyed cross stitching, doing puzzles and reading. Funeral service will be held Monday, April 14, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Copper Hills LDS 8th Ward Chapel (5349 West 9000 South) in West Jordan with Bishop Scott Clawson officiating. The family will meet with friends prior to services at the church from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the Riverton Cemetery.
