Dolly Daily went to be with her Lord on November 17, 2008 at the home of her daughter in Orem, Utah. She was born February 28, 1914, the daughter of John Wyatt and Amy LaVeta Smith Hudson and attended grade school in Powder River County, Montana.
She married William Dean Daily, son of Harry and Ann Daily of the Ashland, Montana area. Dean was career military and they lived throughout the world. Dolly worked on the various military bases as a secretary for civil service. Upon Dean's retirement, they settled in St. George, Utah.
Dolly was a talented seamstress. She also had a great talent for crafting and spent many hours doing beautiful crafts in her later years.
Dolly is survived by her children, Gordon and his wife Iris Bernier of Inkom, ID; Dr. William Dean Daily II and his wife Kathleen of Livermore, CA; and Drinda and her husband Ralph Hansen of Orem, UT; one sister, Jeanne Davis of Pocatello, ID; one brother, Elmer Hudson of Yelm, WA; 16 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean, her parents, John & Amy Hudson, and eight brother and sisters (Paul, Ruth, Ellen, Johnny, Bob, Laura, Jo, and Russell).
Dolly visited her Montana home on several occasions. The last visit was in 2006 at age 92.
Visitation will be from 10 AM to 10:45 AM on Friday, November 21st, 2008 at the Timpanogos Park Fifth Ward at 990 N. 100 W. in Orem, Utah. Funeral services will be at 11 AM with Bishop Lynn Stephens officiating. Public graveside services to be held Saturday, November 22nd at the Hurricane City Cemetery in Hurricane, Utah next to her husband. Condolences may be sent to Drinda Hansen or Dr. William D.
