Domatilla Paterson

Domitilla Padilla Peterson, 72, of Midvale, died Dec. 9, 2008 in Sandy. Born Jan. 21, 1936 in El Rito, N.M. to Prudencio Chacon and Ernestine Gallegos. Spent early and was educated in Colorado. Married Louis Padilla in 1947, later divorced. Married Roland Peterson in the 1980's. He preceded her in death.
She had worked as a nurse's aide. She enjoyed fishing and being outdoors and loved chasing her grandchildren with a plastic baseball bat.
She is survived by her children: Vicky, Leroy, Gene, Dianne and Sara; 27 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; sisters: Charlotte and Becky and brothers: Abie and Dennis and many special nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by: children: Connie and Jacob, brothers: Alfonzo, Jake and Johnny. Very special thanks to Sandy Regional Care Center, Love Hospice, Maverik, Charlotte Amanza and Becky Martinez.
Viewing will be Monday, Dec. 15, 2008 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2840 S. 90000West in Magna. A Vigil Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be Tuesday Dec. 16, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. also at the church. Burial will follow at Redwood Memorial Estates.
