Don Walter Glover

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Don Walter Glover, 93, passed away peacefully at home Saturday, June 12, 2010. Don was born April 24, 1917 in Lehi, Utah to Joseph Henry Glover and Maud Evelyn Webb. He married his sweetheart, Cora Opal Davis, June 24, 1941 in Lehi, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple June 21, 1963. Don was a veteran of World War II serving in the Merchant Marines. He worked for Petty Motors and later went into business for himself. He was known and well respected as a hard worker and successful businessman. His greatest joy was his family. Don was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed serving in various positions particularly teaching the gospel. Don and Opal served in the Connecticut Hartford Mission from 1981 to 1982. Don is survived by a son, Don (Natalie) Glover Jr. and daughter Lynne (William) Ranson of Salt Lake City. He is also survived by five grandsons Christopher, Jeffrey (Natalie), Jon, Stephen (Jennifer), Jason and four great-grandsons. He is preceded in death by wife Opal, his daughter, Connie, his parents, and brothers: Arthur, Herbert, Wallace, Glen, and Howard. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 17, 2010 at the Canyon Rim Second Ward, 3000 South 3100 East, in Salt Lake City. A viewing will be held at the church one hour prior to services where friends and family may call. Interment will follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City.
