Donald Jay Hansen

Don died peacefully on December 24, 2008 of diabetes in Orem, Utah at 69. He was born in Centerfield, Utah on March 14, 1939 to Jay F. and Wanda Hansen. He married his sweetheart of 48 years, Arlene Beech, in the Manti Temple on June 14, 1960.

Don was a great leader in the sales business and inspired others with his optimistic attitude. He worked for Safeway Milk Department, owned Don's Napa Auto Parts and worked for Emerson Marketing as District Manager. He loved working with people and especially the youth. He traveled extensively across the United States and various countries.

He enjoyed all outdoor sports, especially hunting, camping and riding his ATV, however, his greatest pride and joy was his family. He was a happy man whom we adored and his laugh will be missed.

Survived by his children Lori Ann (Robert) Aitken, Jeffrey Don (JoAnn) and Bradley Jay (Bobbi) and brothers Adrian, Craig (Angie), Kyle (Debi) and sister Lisa (Doug) McKell, fifteen grandchildren and one great grandchild. Preceded in death by parents and a brother Gary Hansen.

Funeral services will be Monday December 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Aspen 9th Ward, 828 West 1600 North, Orem, Utah. Viewing at church will be Sunday, December 28, 2008 6-8 p.m. and 10:.00 a.m. Monday, one hour prior to services. Graveside services in Scipio Cemetery at 3:30 p.m.
