Donna Joan Swanson, our mother, sister, and friend passed away on August 8, 2008 following a lingering illness.
Donna was born August 24, 1931 to Hugh and Dora (Strasburg) Henderson. She attended schools in Salt Lake and was a member of the LDS Church. She was an outstanding airline stewardess for Western Airlines and later a receptionist for Delta Air. Donna married Carl Swanson in November 14, 1956, and was later divorced.
Our mother was a caring and friendly person and we will miss her. Thanks to CareSource for the loving care given to her while there. Donna is survived by her children, Scott Swanson and Cindy Swanson; grandchildren, Sam and Elizabeth Swanson; brothers and sisters, Hugh Henderson, Carole Butler, Frank Harman and Oral Gates.
Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Friday, August 15, 2008 at the Winder 1st Ward Building at 4551 South 1200 East in SLC. Viewing will be from 10:50 to 11:45 a.m. at the Church prior to the services. Burial will follow the services at the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr. in SLC.
