Doris Irene Gibson

Our loving mother, grandmother and wife passed away July 10, 2006. Her husband, the love of her life, was beside her at the time of her passing just as he had been throughout their marriage of nearly 56 years. Doris was born in Nephi, Utah on June 30, 1932; the first born child of Hazel Rostron Sudweeks and Orus Sudweeks. Married Arvin LaRay Gibson (Gib) December 24, 1950.
Doris had a love for life and was known for her sense of humor. She and Gib loved to travel, and went on many cruises together. Traveling in her motor home with Gib was a special part of her life. She especially loved seeing the beauty of the Oregon Coast and spending the winters in Big River California with Gib.
Survived by her husband Gib, and their five children: Mauna (Cory) Liddiard, Dennis (Karen) Gibson, Mitch (Sue) Gibson, Kelly (Gordon) Beyer, and Sherri (Dave) McPherson; 18 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Brother, Kent (Brenda) Sudweeks; Sisters Nona (Dick) Badham, Ellen (David) Bird, Loy (Jim) Mogensen.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for Monday, July 17, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at the Granger 10th Ward Chapel located at 3274 Hillsdale Drive, West Valley City, Utah.
