Dorothy Sue Harris

Sue Harris passed away July 26, 2007 in her home in Mapleton, Utah after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 11, 1935 in Morton, Mississippi to Richard Oliver and Laura Pace. She married David N. Harris on July 1, 1956 in Fayette, Mississippi. The marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Sue was active in the LDS church where she served in many positions. Sue traveled around with her husband as he served his country in the Air Force and had the opportunity to live in many places including Alaska and Hawaii. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, David Harris of Mapleton, Utah, sons Steven (Cherie Butts) of Spanish Fork, Utah and Mark (Sherry Shorter) of Saratoga Springs, Utah., 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, 1 brother, a grandson and 2 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2007 in the Mapleton 4th Ward building at 31 West Maple Street in Mapleton, Utah at 12 Noon. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until noon at the church prior to the services. Interment will be at the Orem City Cemetery.
