Dorothy Lou Spoon

Mom has moved on from this mortal life to again join hands with Dad. She died on November 7, 2010 after suffering a debilitating infection, then a stroke. Dorothy Lou Anthony was born on May 15, 1922 in Spokane, Washington to Vernon Richard Anthony and Anna Grace Couch. She married Marvin Lloyd Spoon in March of 1953. The two treasured their time together for over 54 years. They chose their path to eternity and were sealed in the Oakland Temple for time and all eternity in May of 1969. She is survived by her daughter Laura (Jack), her son Vernon (Lori), 9 grand children, 2 sisters and a brother. Mom was a patriot and loved this country dearly. She is a veteran of WWII where she proudly served in the United States Navy supporting this great country and all those who fought and died to preserve and protect this Land and our God given rights and freedoms. A funeral service will be held Monday, November 15th, 2010 at 11:00AM at the LDS Chapel on 11000 S. 1300 E., Sandy, Utah. Interment will follow at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park in Bluffdale, UT.
