Dwight Randall McClendon
Dwight Randall McClendon was born June 7, 1960, and gained his wings on January 31, 2024.
Dwight is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Betty McClendon, as well as his sister Sharon Brown. He leaves behind two daughters, Shante' Goggans and Jordan McClendon, sister Gayln Jones, grandson Evyn Hubbard, his nieces, Raeneckkia Berry, nephew Ryan Collier (Sonia Collier), Hadiya Brown, and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
Dwight attended George Washington High School in Denver, CO, and he was recently inducted into the GW Basketball Hall of Fame. He went on to play basketball at the University of Wyoming, and in 2015 he was inducted into the UW basketball Hall of Fame.
After college he went into sales for Silo and Fred Schmidt, but he found his passion in cooking. Dwight loved spending time and cooking for family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing, watching basketball and football, especially the Lakers and Cowboys.
He will be missed by many, but the memories will last forever.
The family of Dwight R McClendon, have been blessed with a wonderful circle of friends who surround us, support us, and lift us during our time of sorrow. Your love and caring will always be remembered. Thank you, and may God continue to bestow His blessings upon you.
