Edna Mae Hopson 1929 ~ 2008 Edna Mae Hopson died on December 17, 2008, at the age of 79.She was born in Hot Springs County, Arkansas on May 30, 1929, to Josh and Gracie Henson. Edna grew up in Arkansas and it was her wish to be buried near her parents there. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. Edna was preceded in death by two sisters, LaVern Burks and Betty Pitchford, and one brother, Louis Henson. She was the mother of three daughters and was predeceased by two of her children: Donna Goodman and Susan Fitzgerald. Survivors include: daughter, Michelle Lunt & her husband, Daniel of Utah; brother, Chester Henson and his wife Sue of Oregon; sister, Evalee Carter and her husband William of Oklahoma, Lloyd Henson of Arkansas; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 20 at 10 a.m. at the Meadowlark LDS Chapel, 2180 E. Meadowlark Way in Sandy with a visitation 30 minutes prior. Funeral services will be held at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Malvern, Arkansas (atkinsonfuneralhome.net). The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the wonderful staff at Sandy Regional, and Sunbrook Hospice--who cared for Edna with love and compassion.
