Edwin Franklin Costin

Edwin Franklin Costin passed away on July 10, 2021 in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He was born June 9, 1925 in Philidelphia, PA to Charles Edwin Costin and Lucille Meredith Schaffer.  On June 9, 1942 he married Marie Ellen Jones in Philadelphia, PA. Together they had eight children; Donna Marie Costin Conedera, Lucille Miriam Costin, Sherry Lee Costin Davis, Sharon Ann Costin Lasiter, Edwina Frances Costin Austin, Edwin Franklin Costin, Jr, Richard Barry Costin and Charles Edwin Costin II.  He survived by twenty grandchildren, 52 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.  Edwin is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Marie, his daughter Donna and two of his sons, Eddie and Charles.  

Edwin served in the US Army (Volunteer 29 Division Darby Ranger) and the US Coast Guard.  

He enjoyed bowling, old western movies and books, old detective shows and puzzles.  He also enjoyed making jewelry.  

There will be a visitation on Friday, July 16th from 6-8 pm at the LDS Valley View Chapel located at 2235 East 3900 South, Millcreek, Utah.  There will also be a visitation and funeral service in Palisades, Colorado at the Palisades City Cemetery on Monday, July 19th at 10-11am with the funeral to follow at 11:30 am.  Palisades City Cemetery: 729 37.3 Road, Palisades CO
