Elcy Fonseca DeAvila

Elcy passed away on March 12, 2007 in SLC. She was born on July 25, 1935 to her mother Damazia Fonseca and father, Solon DeAvila Cunha in Santo Christo, Brazil. She was preceded in death by both parents and her husband Elvedio Werberich who died in battle while serving in the Brazilian Military. She is survived by her daughter, Elvici Werberich of Kearns, a sister, Geni Grau of Brazil, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Elcy held a bachelors degree in economics and retired from the banking industry after 35 years of service. She also served 14 years as an elementary school teacher. She was very accomplished as seamstress and needle work. Private memorial services will be held by her family. Special thanks are extended to; IHC Hospice, Anita (RN), Lothair (Aid), Dr. Thomas Christensen and Bishop Raul Soto of the Parkwood 1st Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
