Elden Clyde Sabin, 80, quietly passed away on Friday, November 13, 2009 due to the effects of old age.
Elden was born in Spanish Fork, Utah on May 27, 1929, to Earl Clyde and Cristina Warner Sabin. He was the oldest of three children. He went to school in Spanish Fork where he met his life-long sweetheart Cathirn (Cathi) Lovisa Barney, and married her in the Salt Lake Temple on August 20th 1947.
He worked for Geneva Steel retiring from the company after 43 years of hard work. He was the owner and founder of Sabin Electric, a job that he worked until his full-time assistance was needed to care for his sweetheart, Cathi. He enjoyed working with people and helping them whenever it was needed.
He was preceded in death by his wife Cathi Sabin, son Paul E. Sabin, his parents and son-in-law David C. Jones. He is survived by his children Richard (Anna) Sabin, Marjean (Ron) Bleazard, Keith (Sue) Sabin, daughter-in-law Gaylene Sabin Call, Kathleen (Kim) Howell and Carolyn Jones. He left twenty-six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lakeside LDS 14th Ward Chapel (2580 West 200 South, Provo, Utah) and Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in the church at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
