Eleanor Ruth Spencer

Eleanor Ruth Spencer, our sweet and sassy mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2022. She was born July 5, 1942, in Moffatt County, CO, to Alfred and Grace Lemmon. She graduated from Moffatt County High School in 1960.

After high school, she moved to Utah. She married Paul Spencer, the love of her life, on September 12, 1962, when they eloped to Las Vegas, NV. They spent 52 beautiful years together until Paul passed away in 2014. 

She worked in Logistics at Hill Air Force Base, where she met many cherished lifelong friends. She retired from Hill Air Force Base in 2003 to spend more time with her husband, kids, and grandkids. 

Her favorite things in life included puttering around in her yard, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, watching Nascar and the Denver Broncos, and loving her little dog, Sunny. 

She is survived by her children, Brandee (Robert) Hill of Riverdale; Kim Spencer of Roy; Matthew (Ashley) Spencer of Hooper; 12 grandchildren, Ashlee, Brayden, Braxton, Rylee, Triston, Weston, Haylee, Carson, Dylan, Coltan, Makaylan, and Quinnlan; 2 great-grandchildren Lyndsee and McClellan; along with several loving cousins, in-laws, and extended family. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Spencer, and her brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Joann Lemmon.  

We would like to extend a special thanks to Amy, Dr. Holland, Karie, Taylee, and Cindy, who all helped us ensure she was comfortable at home.
