Elena Flores

Elena Flores passed away peacefully at her home on November 16, 2007 from cancer. She was born in Colima, Mexico on January 1, 1948 to Stephen and Amalia Angiuano. She migrated from Mexico to America to make a better life for her and her children. She succeeded in accomplishing that mission. Elena loved dancing and the outdoors. She was an accomplished Mexican chef and worked in various Salt Lake City restaurants. She always brought cheer and laughter to all those who knew her.
She is survived by her beloved husband Rudy Flores; 3 sons, Martin (Marie) Ruiz, Jose (Stephanie) Ruiz, Mercelino (Adriana) Ruiz; 2 daughters, Angela Ruiz, Yolanda (Trinidad) Ruiz; 2 step daughters, Corina (Reggy) Pace, Alicia Flores; 1 stepson, David Flores; 13 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild on the way. She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2007 at 12:00 P.M. at St. Therese Catholic Church, 7832 S. Allen Street, Midvale, Utah. A rosary will be held Monday, November 19, 2007 at 8:00 P.M. with a viewing at 7:00 P.M. in the Hall (not the church) at the same location. Interment will be held at the Midvale City Cemetery.
