Elsie Mae Lermusiaux Verdi Our beloved mother, grandmother and aunt, Elsie Mae Lermusiaux Verdi, fell asleep in death July 22, 2009, following complications from a stroke. Born May 28, 1923, in Pryor, Colorado, to Arthur M. and Elsie Mae Lermusiaux. She moved to Kenilworth, Utah in 1944 with her family where she was affectionately known as "Nookie." Soon thereafter, her father was killed in a mine explosion and she began caring for younger siblings left behind.
On June 17, 1949, Elsie married James "Ace" Verdi and the two remained together until his death in 1984. She was a member of the Price Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Elsie is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Felina Verdi (Greeley, CO) and David and Alisha Verdi (Payson, UT), as well as the loves of her life, her three grandchildren Morgan, Araela, and Kellen. Elsie also leaves behind a very loving family of nieces, nephews, in-laws and numerous friends. Her kindness and generosity will be missed by all that knew her.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 11:00 am at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 720 No. Cedar Hills Drive, Price, UT. The family would like to thank Alpine Hospice and the numerous friends and relatives for their care and concern shown during this difficult time.
