Emma Marquez Rodriguez
Emma Mé¡rquez Rodréguez, 89, returned to her Heavenly Father and other loved ones on November 7, 2011. She passed away at the home of her daughter, Diana, from complications associated with pulmonary fibrosis.
Emma was born November 25, 1921, in Rosita, Coahuila, Mé©xico, to Pedro Mé¡rquez and Rosa Garcéa. She married Lé¡zaro Rodréguez on February 24, 1940. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Provo Temple.
She was a devoted wife and mother, and a faithful member of the LDS Church. She was blessed with many talents and her posterity has been the beneficiaries of the beautiful creations from her skillful hands.
Emma is survived by sons, Javier (Yolanda), Homero (Elma), Ricardo (Margarita), Hugo (Nanette), Daniel (Elaine); daughters, Nora (Harold, deceased), and Diana (Robert); 30 grandchildren, and 46 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lé¡zaro, daughter, Alma, a granddaughter, parents and siblings.
Special thanks to Dignity Hospice personnel for the professional and compassionate care provided to our mother. Respecting Emma's wishes, private funeral services for family will be held prior to burial in Orem City Cemetery on November 11, 2011
